Why a New Blog in 2025?
In March 12, 2008, I launched my first blog. Over the years, it’ went in many directions, but one thing never changed: it was my corner for digital art and challenging perceptions. Now, as 2025 looms large , I’m ready for a fresh start.
Lately, AI tools have completely transformed how I create. For someone like me a “creative loner” cursed with more ideas than hours in the day, AI is like opening Pandora’s box, but if Pandora was a girl who had a imaginary sidekick warlord panda that wielded a blaster. It’s finally letting me breathe life into my weirdest ideas, which I’d often shelve because they felt “less important.”
And let’s be honest, I’ve always been happier leaning into silliness. From cracking up family and saving myself from teenage bullies with quick wit to finding humour even in life’s darkest corners, silliness has been my superpower. It’s how I’ve battled mental health challenges, kept life’s chaos at bay, and, perhaps most importantly, kept my wife amused for 30 years despite my many, many flaws.
So, why a new blog? Simple: I want it to feel more like me—weird, eclectic, and unapologetically messy. No more striving to impress or fit some mould. Just me, amusing myself and maybe a few like-minded souls. Now that I’ve left the rat race, I’ve got the time to embrace that glorious chaos.
This isn’t about money, status, or making friends. Blogging, for me, has always been therapy—a place to unload the endless stream of wild ideas and wacky images swirling in my neurodiverse brain. Without it, those ideas might send me spiralling (or someone else 🤪).
Yes, I know blogging is “so last decade.” TikTokers and Instagrammers may have snatched the social spotlight, but who cares? I’ve never wanted to be in the spotlight anyway. Blogging isn’t about being seen—it’s about parking my thoughts somewhere safe. If it entertains you too, well, that’s just icing on my panda face crazy cake.
Besides, who else is keep these laser-wielding bamboo lovers in line. It might as well be me. 🐼✨
